în continuation of my despatch ko.5 of September
28th and having reference to my telegram No.6 of September 30th and No.7 of Octoberist, I have now the
hon ur to mneloso copias of the letters exchanged between
kr.c.C. u and myself ản which the latter worn based.
The Governor of lagao has since înfortaod me
that, in my letter to kr,du, i should not have used the
werd "rojected", with regarɑ to the Lisbon proposal, but
should have stated that he'did not consider it feasible"
This is one of the inaccuracies, widch arise out of
imperfect translation from Portuguese inte English, but
it has not altered the souse of His Excellency's statement.
So far, I ma without a reply from the Portuguesa
Bhould he, however, alect to come hore and
as he can discuss matters much would be diutarak voly for
his Government and I calet.
